Full-time (40 hours per week) temporary position, expected to end approximately one year from the date of hire. Salary range: $4,047 - $5,896 per month. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, CalPERS membership, sick and vacation time, 15 paid holidays, and fee‑waiver education program.
Job SummaryThe Human Resources Department at California State University, Fresno seeks an Administrative Support Coordinator I to provide administrative and technical support to the Benefits program. The incumbent performs operational, procedural, and administrative duties, manages daily tasks, and delivers services to faculty, staff, and administrators under the supervision of the HR Manager for Benefits.
Key Qualifications- Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and customer service principles.
- Understanding of HR Benefits Department practices and policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google email and calendar, and other office systems.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and apply benefits policies.
- Analytical skills for data projection and basic statistical techniques.
- Organizational and planning skills for multiple priorities.
- Independent decision‑making and sound judgment.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality with sensitive records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of related office work experience.
- At least 1 year in a Human Resources Benefits role.
- Knowledge of People Soft Human Resources software.
- Knowledge of CalPERS benefits, leave and retirement programs.
- Skill in analyzing benefit deductions data.
- Two years in a Human Resources Benefits position.
- Proficiency with common office automation software.
- Problem‑solving ability with creative solutions.
