Administrative Support Coordinator II Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary hiring range is up to $4,367 - $4,543 per month (Steps 1 –
3), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The salary range for this classification is $4,367 to $6,362 per month.
- This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the chair of the Department of Public Health, this position provides administrative support to the department chair and full-time faculty members, performs ongoing coordination, and provides lead work direction to an ASA support person and student assistants in the Department of Public Health.
The Administrative Support Coordinator II is expected to use general office equipment and office support technology and systems,including word processing, spreadsheets, People Soft, and use ofother online systems to enter data and generate reports.
- Interpret and apply policies and procedures independently anduse judgment and discretion to act when precedents do notexist.
- Provide excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills to serve as front-line for a variety ofhigh-level campus and community individuals with ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to inquiries and requests related to work area.
- Handle student and staff issues confidentially, with professionalism and discretion.
- Organize and plan work and projects characterized by widely ranging job demands arriving simultaneously.
- Organize and independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalent.
- Four years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience.
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in higher education
- Experience extracting and analyzing data, including financial data
- Experience in effectively providing lead direction to othersand working in a team environment
- Experience in using Google products
- Excellent customer service skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of People Soft (student administration,Human Resources, Financials, curriculum management, temporary faculty)
