PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assist with casework
- Assist with community engagement –including attending events with the Senator, staff or independently
- Answer telephones
- Greet visitors to the office
- Assist with appointments/scheduling
- Answer constituent requests for general information and other inquiries
- Assist with office administrative tasks, including letter writing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ability to handle difficult situations with courtesy, tact and compassion
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Interest in issues specific to the region
- Problem solving abilities
- The ability to exercise a high degree of initiative
- The ability to work independently and use good judgment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of personal computers
- Multi-language skills a plus
The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Community Outreach Representative. Based in the Fresno office, and under the direction of the Regional Director, the Community Outreach Representative will assist with in-office administrative tasks and community outreach projects, as well as support the office’s casework operation under the direction of the Constituent Services Director.
This is a full-time in-person position based in the Fresno, CA office.
