Community Outreach Representative

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Assist with casework
• Assist with community engagement –including attending events with the Senator, staff or independently
• Answer telephones
• Greet visitors to the office
• Assist with appointments/scheduling
• Answer constituent requests for general information and other inquiries
• Assist with office administrative tasks, including letter writing

• The ability to handle difficult situations with courtesy, tact and compassion
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Interest in issues specific to the region
• Problem solving abilities
• The ability to exercise a high degree of initiative
• The ability to work independently and use good judgment
• The ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of personal computers
• Multi-language skills a plus

The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Community Outreach Representative. Based in the Fresno office, and under the direction of the Regional Director, the Community Outreach Representative will assist with in-office administrative tasks and community outreach projects, as well as support the office’s casework operation under the direction of the Constituent Services Director.

This is a full-time in-person position based in the Fresno, CA office.
