DEFINITION
This Airport Administrative Analyst position is responsible for assisting with complex duties while providing support across a variety of Airport functions. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as the Airport Administrative Analyst must be responsive and proactive when addressing the needs of airport users. The Airport Administrative Analyst must possess a strong commitment to public service, the ability to exercise discretion, and regard for safety and security.
The Airport Administrative Analyst is to provide support to the Airport Manager and Airport Compliance Manager, and assist with fulfilling airport requirements and executing projects. Position requires incumbent to work a few hours each weekday.
Receives direct supervision from the Airport Compliance Manager and indirect supervision from the Airport Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide general customer service to airport users when they arrive at the office or call for assistance, approvals, or appointments.
- Issue authorized airport users Vehicle Access Badges.
- Assist the Airport Compliance Manager with managing the parking pass program.
- Assist with reporting throughout the year.
- Assist with keeping web content, notices, and newsletters (printed and digital) up to date and issuing them on a regular basis.
- Assist with coordinating and issuing permits for events such as Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)/drones, filming, and special events.
- Organize and track insurance and hangar information.
- Assist with the maintenance of confidential airport files.
- Assist the Airport Manager with upkeep of airport documents and files.
- Proofread and edit records, reports, and other materials for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Digitize files; update and organize filing systems while following good record-keeping practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Principles of work planning, organization, and scheduling.
- Basic customer service and conflict resolution
- Modern office practices, procedures, methods, and equipment.
- Knowledge of airport or aviation operations, practices, and procedures is preferred, but not required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the public, employees, and Town partners, with an emphasis on exceptional customer service.
- Provide accurate information when resolving external inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality when working with confidential airport materials and customer information.
- Understand, adhere to, and assist in the implementation of Town and Airport policies and procedures.
- Be detail oriented and meet deadlines when creating reports, preparing documentation and correspondence, and when completing complex projects.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Learn, implement, and practice airport safety and security policies and procedures (as defined by CFR Part 139 and Part 1542).
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the necessary knowledge and abilities would be:
EducationPossession of an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in business administration, airport administration or management, public administration, or a closely related field required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, airport administration or management, public administration, or related field is preferred.
ExperienceTwo (2) years of increasingly responsible secretarial, clerical, and administrative experience and/or office support duties, preferably in the public airport sector.
