Position Summary

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries for all assigned sales contracts. Potential employees must develop an understanding of customers’ needs and take action to ensure that such needs are met. This position will work to maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers ensuring success for the Nuts Team. The ideal candidates should be highly organized, detail oriented and capable of multi‑tasking.

Responsibilities
  • Manage contract Administration and Execution which includes:
    • Entry of sales and purchases into operating system.
    • Prepare and proof‑read shipment documents per the specific contract instructions and forward to customers and/or shippers.
    • Send shipping instructions to shippers.
    • When contract documents are received, coordinate with shippers and suppliers to book the purchase in the system and process documents for payment upon verification.
    • Track shipments, follow up with suppliers and provide updates to traders and managers locally and overseas.
    • Prepare customs entries and inbound/outbound delivery orders.
    • Manage the warehouse release process to ensure timely delivery to customers. Produce delivery orders and invoices for releases.
    • Track shipments and provide updates to sales team and manager.
    • Liaison with third‑party warehouses and truckers for product entry, storage and delivery.
    • Maintain inventory sheets and conduct monthly stock‑reconciliations with warehouse’s inventory report.
    • Reduce direct costs of logistics by comparing costs of third‑party service providers.
    • Manage customer claims for shortages or losses. Resolve concerns and address issues quickly.
    • Work with accounting to follow‑up on past‑due payments from customers.
    • Conduct special projects for the Edible nuts team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Customer Service, freight management or logistics is required.
  • Understanding of INCOTERM, Shipping Industry & local US Transportation industry is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet multiple competing demands is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office, is required.
  • Previous working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines is required.
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

The pay for this role in the state of CA ranges from $28/hr - $31/hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
