The Catalyst Fund is seeking a proactive and analytical Intern to support its investment activities. This position is perfect for someone enthusiastic about startups and Africa’s burgeoning innovation scene. The intern will play a crucial role in conducting in‑depth research on the climate resilience sectors, analyzing business models, and understanding the market dynamics across the African continent. As part of the investment team, the Analyst Intern will be involved in vital processes such as startup screening and competitor scans.
They will contribute by performing commercial and basic financial analysis, assisting with the maintenance of pipeline trackers, and supporting portfolio work whenever necessary. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in venture investing and to contribute to impactful projects in the African startup ecosystem.
- Research climate resilience sectors, business models, and market dynamics across Africa.
- Support dealflow through startup screening, competitor scans, and market research.
- Assist with commercial and financial analysis including unit economics, pricing, and market sizing.
- Help maintain pipeline trackers and internal knowledge resources.
