Position SummaryThe Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) will support and drive the success of franchise partners across a multi-state territory. This role serves as an area leader responsible for strengthening franchisee performance, improving unit-level economics, and building strong relationships across 80+ franchise locations. The FBC plays a critical role in supporting continued growth by partnering with franchisees to analyze business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans that drive revenue growth and profitability.
This role is highly field-focused, requiring significant travel (80%-90%) throughout California, Oregon and Nevada, and is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hands‑on, relationship‑driven franchise environment.
Key Responsibilities Franchisee Support & Coaching- Serve as the primary field contact and trusted advisor for franchisees across a territory of 80+ locations.
- Build strong relationships with owner-operators and provide ongoing operational and financial coaching.
- Influence positive change through collaboration and partnership rather than enforcement.
- Provide guidance on best practices in operations, staffing, marketing, and customer experience.
- Analyze unit-level P&L statements, sales performance, labor spend, and key operational KPIs.
- Identify financial trends, operational gaps, and opportunities to improve profitability.
- Develop action plans with franchisees to improve sales performance and operational efficiency.
- Support franchisees in managing marketing budgets and local store marketing initiatives.
- Conduct 3–4 on-site visits per location annually, announced, and unannounced.
- Spend 2–4 hours per visit evaluating operations, customer experience, and financial performance.
- Provide coaching and operational feedback to improve store performance.
- Conduct compliance evaluations while maintaining a primary focus on business performance.
- Visit new franchise locations 6–8 weeks after opening to assess operational performance and provide guidance.
- Ensure franchisees understand brand standards, financial expectations, and operational best practices.
- Serve as the liaison between franchisees and the corporate operations team.
- Maintain consistent communication with franchisees, particularly with focus stores requiring additional support.
- Partner with internal leadership including the Director of Franchise Operations, VP Operations, and executive leadership team.
- Support franchisees in maintaining strong Average Unit Volume (AUV) performance.
- Improve franchisee profitability through financial and operational coaching.
- Strengthen franchisee relationships and satisfaction across the territory.
- Identify and support underperforming locations through structured improvement plans.
- Contribute to the company’s continued expansion and operational consistency.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Franchise Business Consultant, field operations, or multi‑unit leadership role within a franchise system.
- Experience supporting franchise or multi‑unit restaurant operations (QSR, casual dining, or specialty food).
- Strong understanding of unit‑level P&L analysis and financial performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to influence franchisees and drive operational improvements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage relationships across a diverse franchisee base.
- Experience identifying financial trends and improving underperforming locations.
- Comfortable with extensive travel (80–90%) and field‑based work Monday–Friday.
