Senior Project Controls Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's notable utility client is looking for a Senior Project Controls Analyst to join their South Region PCA team in Fresno, CA. This team has 6-8 Project Controls Analyst, with projects ranging from $25M to $100M+ in transmission, electric generation, and interconnection. This is a 1 year contract to start with long term expectation of extension. This hybrid role will work 1-3 days onsite in Fresno.

Scheduling:

* Lead the effort to develop the project schedule and forecasting by meeting, often in person, with the various departments

* Works with PM to ensure the schedule logic and timelines meet the project objectives

* Attends all important project site meetings including kick-off, walkdowns, constructability reviews

* Attend and actively participate in project status meetings;
Ask questions in regards to project progress from meeting attendees and use that information to update the project schedule

* Create, maintain and update schedule

* Send out the project schedule monthly to stakeholders

* Develop and issue monthly a Monthly Progress & Performance Report which includes written analysis of project milestone attainment/variances and the risk to achieving project milestones

Cost:

* Ensure the project hours, contract cost, and material cost are allocated to the appropriate schedule activities based on the project team input and control documents

* Develop and provide cost analysis in a Monthly Progress Report based on various SAP/AO reports

* Identify variances to the project plan and make recommendations and corrective actions to the project team

* Issue monthly the project schedule and Monthly Progress Report to stakeholders;
Pertaining to risk - this doesn't mean sending out the risk register, rather it means highlighting potential schedule and cost impacts that require near term action

Reporting:

* Use the Document Compliance Matrix to ensure compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

* Strong planning and scheduling experience on major projects (more than $25M)

* Expert with P6 (Primavera)

* Cost management and cost controls experience

* Forecasting metrics, managing the financials of projects, budgeting of metrics using SAP

* Experience supporting projects: utility, construction, healthcare (regulatory environments)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
