Parts Clerk - FAT-M

Job Description

Monitors all aspects of parts department operations and interfaces with maintenance and accounting to insure proper functions of parts department by performing the following duties.

Comply with the Location's attendance/tardiness standards.

Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records.

Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.

Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computations or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.

Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.

Prepares reports such as inventory balances, price lists and shortages.

Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.

Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.

Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.

Compiles invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records.

Answers telephone, convey messages, and run errands.

Stocks and issues materials or merchandise.

Responsible for purchasing activities and related documents.

Maintains proper inventory levels to support maintenance operations and outside customer support.

Assists maintenance department with special projects and quotes.

Assists accounting department as requested with receivables and payables.

Deals with vendors and manufactures to obtain the best possible discounts on parts and services.

Works with maintenance customers and outside customers on any problems that may arise concerning parts and service.

Plans layout of inventory room, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.

Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial action to resolve discrepancies.

Responsible for general appearance of parts room and parts sales office.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

Minimum of 18 years of age.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge, and be insurable by the company's applicable insurance policies.

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, shift worked, responsibilities, seniority, geographical market, merit, output, productivity, prior training or experience, and travel.The pay range for this position is $19.42 to $24.28 / hour.
