Join CDM Smith's dynamic Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team as a Senior Roadway and Bridge Construction Inspector. This exciting role is travel-intensive, requiring you to engage with impactful infrastructure projects across various outdoor environments.

Our CEI group plays a critical role in supporting federal, public, private, and international organizations by providing comprehensive construction services for transportation systems that address community needs. Our expertise in program management, design-build projects, and sustainable solutions helps us tackle current and future infrastructure challenges effectively.
As a Senior Roadway and Bridge Construction Inspector, you will:
- Inspect and monitor construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Engage in complex inspections in at least two of the following categories:
Roadway, Bridges, Drainage, Erosion Control, and Maintenance & Traffic. - Utilize advanced equipment and perform calculations critical to inspection processes.
- Review project drawings to prepare for inspections and communicate findings to your supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct both complex and routine inspections to verify appropriate materials and adherence to construction processes.
- Document and report inspection results accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications from a State Highway Agency or national entity (ACI, NICET) in relevant areas are preferred.
- 8 years of related experience in construction inspection.
- A valid driver's license is required for this role.
- Willingness to travel domestically; travel frequency may vary based on project demands.
