Superintendent, Construction

Grove General is a commercial GC with a track record of delivering on schedule for national tenants and institutional clients across California. We're hiring a Superintendent who controls the field — not one who just shows up to it.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily field operations on commercial construction projects from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and utility work
• Own the schedule — push work forward with urgency, identify conflicts early, and communicate clearly
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documents
• Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and field documentation
• Enforce jobsite safety, quality control, cleanliness, and project standards
• Represent Grove General professionally with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and municipalities
• Coordinate closely with project management and ownership on all active work

What We're Looking For

• Proven commercial construction superintendent experience (ground-up, TI, retail, restaurant, or national-tenant)
• Strong plan-reading and field coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades and solve problems in real time
• Comfortable with construction software, digital reports, and field documentation (Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Strong communication and follow-through
• Willingness to travel for projects throughout California
• Valid driver's license required

Preferred Background

• Retail, QSR, fuel, medical, office, or national-account construction
• Managing inspections, utilities, schedules, closeout, and punch
• Experience working directly with design teams, owner reps, and city inspectors

Compensation and Benefits

• $85,000 - $135,000 depending on experience
• Company vehicle
• Travel and per diem when applicable
