Quality Control Manager (Federal Construction)

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join a growing general contractor specializing in federal construction projects. This position will oversee quality control activities on a large federal project in Porterville, CA, ensuring all work complies with contract documents, government requirements, and project specifications.

• Oversee all project quality control activities from mobilization through closeout.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Control Plan (QCP).
• Conduct the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections).
• Coordinate inspections with government representatives, subcontractors, and project management.
• Review submittals, RFIs, material certifications, and project documentation for compliance.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and daily reports.
• Identify deficiencies, manage corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with the Superintendent and SSHO to maintain quality, safety, and project schedules.
• Participate in progress meetings and coordinate directly with government personnel throughout the project.

• Minimum 5+ years of Quality Control Management experience on federal construction projects.
• Experience working on USACE projects.
• Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification required.
• Working knowledge of RMS (Resident Management System).
• Certified in EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
• Current OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, military, or government construction projects.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining quality standards and schedule compliance.

• $120,000–$130,000 annual salary
