Quality Control Manager (Federal Construction)
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join a growing general contractor specializing in federal construction projects. This position will oversee quality control activities on a large federal project in Porterville, CA, ensuring all work complies with contract documents, government requirements, and project specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced federal construction professional looking for a long-term opportunity with competitive compensation, daily per diem, and a strong project pipeline.
Responsibilities- Oversee all project quality control activities from mobilization through closeout.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Control Plan (QCP).
- Conduct the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections).
- Coordinate inspections with government representatives, subcontractors, and project management.
- Review submittals, RFIs, material certifications, and project documentation for compliance.
- Maintain accurate quality control records and daily reports.
- Identify deficiencies, manage corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and SSHO to maintain quality, safety, and project schedules.
- Participate in progress meetings and coordinate directly with government personnel throughout the project.
- Minimum 5+ years of Quality Control Management experience on federal construction projects.
- Experience working on USACE projects.
- Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification required.
- Working knowledge of RMS (Resident Management System).
- Certified in EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
- Current OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, military, or government construction projects.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining quality standards and schedule compliance.
- $120,000–$130,000 annual salary
