Responsibilities
Assist the Estimators with coordinating projects and documentation in support of producing and assembling accurate bids. Work within the Estimating Department in solicitation of subcontractor bids, distribution of plans to qualified bidders, follow up and review of bids with Estimator and/or Project Manager.
- Manage/create, distribute, and/or submit documents related to and generated by the bidding and/or proposal process.
- Pulls and organizes bid items electronically in Heavy Jobs and Vista.
- Completes prequalification packages.
- Support Estimators in their bids.
- Create and maintain project bid lists, Estimating Team Pre‑Construction Database, and vendor/subcontractor information in company database.
- Assist when needed to prepare project bid packages.
- Enter estimates in Heavy Bid based on RFPs submitted by project management.
- Logging pre‑fields into Precon and placing pre‑field into job folders.
- Document procurement using SAP.
- Perform job setup for major and routine emergency call outs.
- Compile and submit Subcontractor and Supplier Utilization Plan (Exhibit 1a).
- Research and gather information for new bid opportunities.
- General understanding of construction terminology is required.
- Ability to read and understand Contract Documents including contract drawings, specifications, request for proposal/qualifications, contracts, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including spreadsheets, schedules, RFI's, etc.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment.
- Ability to regularly interact with peers’ customers, and management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Foster and maintain a positive team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Desired:
Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled to pursue a degree) in construction management, engineering, or related field. - Required:
1‑2 years of administrative experience. - Desired: 2 years of experience working in a construction environment.
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00
This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
