Superintendent

Our client is a reputable general contractor with a strong backlog of awarded projects in the Bakersfield area. Specializing in ground-up construction, DSA schools, modernizations, and renovations, they serve both public and private sector clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a great opportunity for a construction professional with commercial and DSA experience.

• Lead and manage daily on-site construction activities
• Enforce safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and trainings
• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project managers
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
• Attend and/or lead contractor meetings to align on project milestones
• Ensure quality standards are upheld and all documentation is accurate and complete
• Order materials and coordinate deliveries to maintain workflow
• Manage punch lists, start-up testing, and final project turnover

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Experience with ground-up, DSA schools, modernizations, and public/private sector renovations
• Commercial project experience will also be considered
• Proficient in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented with solid problem-solving abilities
