The Estimator, Commercial Landscape Construction role is a full-time, on-site position based in Metropolitan Fresno, CA. This role is responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity take-offs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial landscape construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing bid documents, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, developing budgets, and preparing proposal packages. The estimator collaborates with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to clarify scope, adjust estimates as needed, and support value engineering.

The role also involves maintaining cost databases, tracking market pricing, and contributing to continuous improvement in estimating processes and bid competitiveness.

• Strong skills in construction estimating and quantity take-offs for commercial landscape projects.
• Proficiency in cost management and budgeting, including developing and tracking project budgets.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Experience with estimating software, spreadsheets, and reading construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of commercial landscape construction materials, methods, and local codes or standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Metropolitan Fresno, CA and coordinate across multiple concurrent bids.
• Previous experience in construction or landscape estimating; relevant technical training or degree is beneficial.
