Video Editor Part-Time

Overview

KMPH/KFRE has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Video Editor (20 hours a week)! This video editor position is available for the right person with the right attitude and skillset. Willing to work nights and weekends. Position includes video editing for newscasts and social media, running studio cameras, prompter, audio, with the opportunity to also learn technical directing and directing of newscasts.

• Editing video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period pieces
• Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations, also sending out news feeds to our parent company and other affiliated entities
• Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
• Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment

• Some College or minimum one year relative experience in the field
• Knowledge of Avid News Cutter XP or Adobe Premiere editing technology is a definite plus
• Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
