Morning Multimedia Journalist

KMPH is looking for a Morning Multi-Media Journalist to join our team in Central California. We are live for 5 hours every weekday morning from 5am-10am.

We are looking for a candidate who thinks outside the box and elevates their storytelling with enhanced content on our digital and social platforms. Candidate must be willing to work weekday mornings and fill-in as an anchor as needed.

Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, and contributing content to KMPH's digital and social platforms.

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Strong writer with the ability to learn how to produce newscasts to work as a fill-in as needed.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

• A minimum of (1) year reporting experience is required
• Experience with live shots is required
• Experience with Live-U is a plus

The base salary compensation range for this role is $20.12 - $22.12 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
