Position OverviewThe CSM Advising and Resource Center is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. ISAs typically are responsible for providing mentoring, grading, and facilitating in the first year CSM 10 and 15 classes.
The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course:
- Attend all class periods you are assigned to
- Attend weekly meetings and training sessions
- Serve as a role model student during the class
- Help with student check-ins and mentoring
- Maintain/Submit students records/grades
- Evaluate student assignments
- Participate in and organize social, outreach, and other college events
- Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background
- Experience with Google suites (docs, sheets, slides, gmail, etc)
- Previous experience as a student in the BOND program
- Classroom management skills / prior leadership experience
