Position Overview:
The Department of Kinesiology is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
Anticipated Appointment Dates:
This position is opened until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified.

August 18, 2025 - December 22, 2025
* Spring 2026:
January 15, 2026 - May 22, 2026
Hours:
0-20 hours per week.
Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course:
* Read and evaluate student papers
* Evaluate student assignments
* Maintain/Submit students records (i.e., grades)
* Proctor examinations
* Manage Canvas
* Assist Graduate Program Coordinator with outreach, communications, etc. related to student recruitment and acceptance
* Assist Human Performance Lab Director and/or Exercise Science faculty with activities and equipment specific to the Human Performance Lab
Qualifications:
* Admission to the Graduate Program in the Department of Kinesiology, in good academic standing.
* Minimum GPA 3.0
* Must have completed course in which opening exists
* Enrollment in at least 6-units for the semester or in two courses toward the degree.
* Demonstrated, satisfactory progress towards the degree.
* Demonstrated commitment to excellence built on merit, talent, diversity, accessibility, and equal opportunity for all.
* Communication skills appropriate to the instructional setting
* Ability and willingness to work with computers including common word-processing software, and computer and Internet-based language teaching technology.
