Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.
Gurnick Academy is currently seeking an Ultrasound Cardiac Technology Program, Lab Instructor, Part‑Time position at our Fresno, CA Campus. This is an on‑campus position.
Schedule: (Evenings 5pm-9pm & Saturdays 8-1pm)
Hourly Pay Range
: $45.00-$55.00

Under direct supervision, the Lab Instructor position works with Program Heads (Program Coordinator, Supervisor, and/or Director) in providing support to students in their lab experiences. This role will interact directly with Faculty and Students based on the needs of the Program Head. The Lab Instructor role will ultimately require knowledge of the program at their campus to best support the needs of the Program Heads, Faculty, and Students.
The job duties consist of the following and are not limited to:
- Maintain inventory of all supplies, equipment, AV materials, and laboratory manuals
- Monitor maintenance of the Skills Lab equipment and assure the cleanliness and efficiency of the Lab
- Provide technical support and assistance to the Program Director and Faculty
- Ensure planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of lab experiences are prepared and organized
- Assist faculty in the development and implementation of detailed, clinically-based scanning protocols
- Assist the faculty in grading student performance and lab assignments
- Monitor and report to faculty about student performance in the lab, including grading of scans
- Assist the faculty in initiating, following up, and completing student advising documentation as necessary
- Provide tutoring, mentoring, and one‑on‑one sessions with the students as directed by the Program Director
- Assist the faculty in providing remedial work and open simulation lab practice
- Prepare, monitor, and file competency checklists
- Accurately complete paperwork as needed
- Demonstrate effective and thoughtful integration of current scanning protocols, technologies, and online activities
- AS Degree
- Graduation from accredited UT program
- Certifications:
ARDMS, RDCS - Current licensure in good standing within their discipline
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a staff sonographer at an imaging facility/hospital/clinic
- Organizational knowledge of educational institutions
- One year experience in a similar position is preferable
