26-27 AY Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) – Construction Management
Position SummaryThe successful candidate is expected to teach a broad range of courses in construction management at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Desired interests include building materials & methods, construction graphics, cost estimating, planning & scheduling, construction safety, design-build project delivery, project controls, preconstruction services, generative design, lean construction, BIM, robotics, automation, and data sciences in construction.
Other responsibilities may include student advising and supervision; working with a diverse community of students and faculty.
Instructor ResponsibilityTemporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph
2. Instructors prepare, deliver, conduct, proctor and grade lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, class projects, and exams. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the semester in the assigned mode.
- Earned Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; or MBA with Bachelor’s in construction-related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Evidence of professional experience in design and construction development.
- Experience in teaching both design and construction development related topics.
- Successful teaching experience at the graduate level, evidenced by prior teaching experiences and evaluations.
- Teaching experience in construction management and related subjects at the undergraduate level.
- Expertise in design-build and collaborative project delivery methods.
