The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures invites applicants to serve as temporary lecturers teaching Spanish at Fresno State.
Teaching ResponsibilitiesTemporary faculty members are responsible for the preparation, delivery, administration, and grading of courses such as Spanish 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3, 4A, 4B, and other courses as identified. Classes must be offered as scheduled, in the assigned mode (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid). Faculty must adhere to university policies per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2.
Qualifications- Education:
Master’s degree in Spanish or a closely related field. - Experience:
Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students. - Preferred:
Prior undergraduate teaching experience, evidence of professional Spanish translation work, and commitment to teaching excellence.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; for a Master’s degree holder, $5,507–$6,677 per month for a full‑time load (15 WTUs).
Appointment TermsConditional on budget and enrollment; subject to order of assignment under the CSU and CAFA agreement. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.
