Special Education Teacher
AB Staffing is looking for experienced Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university.Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in the state of California.Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education.At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays, preferred.Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative.Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read printed and digital materials, hear and understand speech, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.Job Description:
Caseload and classroom details vary by school location. Recruitment specialists will discuss specifics upon application to match you with suitable classrooms. The contract runs through the 2025/2026 school year, 35-40 hours per week, following the district calendar.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to students’ needs.Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and learning styles.Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress.Create a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.Implement behavior management strategies.Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques.Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.Collaborate with colleagues and specialists.Engage in ongoing professional development.Ensure compliance with all regulations and complete documentation.Salary:
$2,100.00 – $2,450.00 per week DOE
