The department seeks qualified candidates to teach undergraduate courses such as:
- GME 15:
Engineering Surveying (3 units, 3 WTU) - GME 15L:
Engineering Surveying Laboratory (1 unit, 2 WTU) - GME 16:
Municipal Surveying (3 units, 3 WTU) - GME 16L:
Municipal Surveying Laboratory (1 unit, 2 WTU) - GME 40/40L:
Route Construction and Surveying - GME 66L:
Computer-aided Drafting (1 unit, 2 WTU) - GME 102:
Remote Sensing (3 units, 3 WTU) - GME 123:
Stereo Photogrammetry (3 units, 4 WTU) - GME 126:
Digital Mapping (3 units, 4 WTU) - GME 159:
Subdivision Design (3 units, 3 WTU) - or other classes that may be identified as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students
Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph
2. Instructors are responsible for the preparation, delivery, and grading of lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule (asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).
Appointments are contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement between California State University and the California Faculty Association.
CompensationCommensurate with qualifications and experience within the salary range placement. The salary ranges are established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2358 for Academic Year Lecturers). For temporary faculty with a Master’s degree, the monthly rate ranges from $5,507 to $6,677 for full‑time teaching (15 WTUs). Salaries are adjusted based on WTUs assigned per term.
Anticipated SemesterThe temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed. The pool will remain in place for two academic terms; applicants who wish to stay beyond that time must reapply.

MS in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related area. Candidates with a BS may be considered if they meet the required experience. - Required Experience: California Land Surveyor in Training License (LSIT).
- Preferred Qualifications: California PLS, knowledge of drafting techniques and tools relevant to the Land Surveying profession, and university‑level teaching experience.
- Required

MS in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related area. Candidates with a BS may be considered if they meet the required experience. - Required Experience: California Land Surveyor in Training License (LSIT).
- Preferred Qualifications: California PLS, knowledge of drafting standards and tools relevant to the Land Surveying profession, experience in planning, design, and implementation of construction staking, and university‑level teaching experience.
