As an Assistant Site Lead, your day-to-day involves working closely with the Site Lead to supervise and coordinate a high‑quality after school program. You play a vital role in supporting staff and students, ensuring that all activities align with program goals and safety standards. From assisting with essential data entry and reporting to stepping in to lead activities, you are a key leader on site who helps bridge the gap between administration and the classroom, ensuring our mission is delivered effectively every day.
Responsibilities- Assist with Coordination of Designated After school Program Site – Assist site lead coordinator in coordinating assigned CTFF program activities in cooperation with school administrative personnel. Assist with collecting and preparing program data and submit to site lead coordinator for review. Provide a safe and healthy learning environment for youth by maintaining safe practices and procedures conducive to maximizing learning. Assist with ensuring enrichment and instructional materials are set‑up and set‑out each time.
Ensure classrooms are left clean and that all materials are picked up at the end of each session. Assist with placement and development of students and staff. Train program participants on program activities, including attendance, participation and program development. Assist in effectively communicating with students, parents and outside agencies/organizations to resolve related issues and concerns. Monitor student behavior and conduct, enforce behavioral standards and rules, and provide appropriate disciplinary action.
Communicate with parents and school administrative personnel regarding student conduct. Regularly collaborate with the site lead coordinator on the effectiveness of the assigned CTFF program and make recommendations to improve overall effectiveness. (Approximately 25% of the day) - Assist with Marketing Program – Assist site lead coordinator in the development of a unique and marketable name for the site. Design and develop effective marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures and posters to promote and increase community awareness of the program. Create and implement effective incentive programs. Disseminate enrollment applications to students. Increase program enrollments using creative marketing and advertising methods while staying within budget.
Assist in inputting attendance of students in approved CTFF software. Maintain a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities and what is required by State and Federal agencies. Monitor and record student activities. (Approximately 10% of the day) - Monitor and Observe Classroom – On a daily basis, visit classrooms to ensure that staff are actively engaged with students and their learning. Coach and mentor staff to further and strengthen personal and professional development. Provide the opportunity and flexibility for staff to manage their instructional and enrichment time. Observe home and enrichment time. Provide assistance to staff members as needed.
