Position: 26-27 AY Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) - Electrical and Computer Engineering

Overview

Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the Lyles College of Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. The department reserves the right to assign Instructional Student Assistants to courses appropriate for the program and curriculum in any given semester. Courses offered may vary due to staff and curriculum changes, and there is no guarantee of employment from semester to semester.

Anticipated Appointment Dates

This position is opened until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified.

Fall 2026
:
August 19, 2026 – December 22, 2026

Spring 2027
:
January 15, 2027 – May 26, 2027

Hours

0–20 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional support to assigned instructor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department by grading papers in a variety of courses, and/or perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair in consultation with an appropriate faculty member.
  • Evaluate student assignments.
  • Maintain/submit student records (grades).
Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Currently seeking senior status students in a Bachelor's degree program, or currently seeking admission to a Master's degree program
  • Successful grading experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds
  • Preferred experience:

    Expertise in a closely related electrical and computer engineering discipline

Finalists may be asked for an interview.
