Requirements:

• Three professional references listed on application (In-house candidates must attach 3 professional references and may use the “professional references form,” which is linked on the job posting).
• Six completed college units in Childhood Education, Child Education, or Child Development, emphasis on 3-5 year olds.
• Working with school age groups in organizations such as Scouts, Church, YMCA, PTA, and/or any successful job experience in similar fields.
• Some experience with elementary age children.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate (online courses will not be accepted). Provide copies of front and back of cards.
• All Instructional Aide positions require applicants to be “Highly Qualified.” The law defines “Highly Qualified” as having a high school diploma or equivalent, AND one of the following (must attach):
  • 2 years of study equal to 48 units
  • AA Degree or higher
  • California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
  • Ability to pass the “Para educator Exam” – for more information contact  ext.

• Certification – copy of transcript showing six completed college units in Childhood Education, Child Education or Child Development, emphasis on 3-5 year olds.
