Temporary Faculty Pool – Lecturer in Agricultural Education. The purpose of this recruitment is to establish a pool of qualified candidates from which temporary instructional appointments may be made.
Instructor ResponsibilitiesTemporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies. Instructors will prepare, deliver, proctor, and grade lectures, office hours, homework, quizzes, class projects, midterms, and final exams. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the semester, in the designated mode (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid).

Education:
Master’s degree in agricultural education, agricultural communications, agriculture leadership, or a closely related field. - Required Experience: Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds; experience in agriculture, agricultural education, communications, leadership, or closely related fields.
- Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, evidenced by prior teaching experience and evaluations.
- Successful undergraduate teaching experience.
- Ability to engage with students beyond the classroom.
- Additional M.S./M.A. or professional certification and/or industry experience.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience within salary range placement. The salary ranges are established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2358 for Academic Year Lecturers). For Masters holders the range is $5,507–6,677 per month when teaching full time (15 WTUs). Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per term.
Appointment ConditionsAppointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to the collective bargaining agreement order of assignment. Eligibility to work in the United States is required; the university does not sponsor temporary faculty for work visas.

August 19, 2026 – December 22, 2026 - Spring 2027:
January 15, 2027 – May 26, 2027
