The department seeks qualified candidates to teach undergraduate courses such as:
- ACCT 4A:
Financial Accounting Principles and Systems - ACCT 4B:
Managerial Accounting Principles and Systems - Other classes that may be identified as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students
As an AACSB‑accredited institution, the Craig School of Business expects faculty members to hold and maintain qualifications consistent with one of the following categories: SA (Scholarly Academic), PA (Practice Academics), SP (Scholarly Practitioners), or IP (Instructional Practitioners).
Instructor Responsibilities- Prepare, deliver, and manage course content, including lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams.
- Adhere to and implement university and system‑wide policies as directed by the Academic Policy Manual.
- Teach in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid) and meet all scheduled classes throughout the semester.
- Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping and grading for all courses taught.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pay is determined by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2358 for Academic Year Lecturers). For a Master’s degree holder, the salary range is 5,507– 6,677 per month for a full‑time load (15 WTUs). Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per term.
Appointment DetailsThe temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed based on enrollment and funding. Appointments are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The pool remains in place for two academic terms; those wishing to remain beyond that period must reapply.

August 19 2026 – December 22 2026 - Spring 2027:
January 15 2027 – May 26 2027
- Education:
A Master’s degree in Accountancy from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, or a Ph.D. earned in the last 5 years, or recent scholarly publications. - Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, evidenced by prior teaching experience or evaluations.
- Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
- Professional licensure (e.g., CPA, CMA, etc.).

July 1 2026 (Fall 2025 consideration) and October 31 2026 (Spring 2027 consideration). - Project date for 2026–2027 Academic Year closing:
March 1 2027.
