Role Summary

We are looking for tutors to support elementary and middle school students (TK‑6th grade) during and after regular school hours in a Fresno school district. Tutors will be responsible for helping students catch up on learning gaps developed over the past school year. The position requires an in‑person background check.

$20–$25 per hour, based on education and experience, to be determined at interview.

Monday–Friday, 12:30 pm–6:00 pm (22–23 hrs per week).

• Work with groups of students without a teacher or school staff support.
• Prepare the area for tutoring sessions.
• Pick up and drop off students from designated areas if required.
• Take attendance and run lessons through the Hey Tutor dashboard.
• Document student progress with the Hey Tutor dashboard.
• Assist managers in administering baseline and summative assessments.
• Lead group tutoring sessions using curriculum and materials provided.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging.
• Encourage students to make positive behavior choices.
• Interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students.
• Clock in and out of Deputy for shifts.
• Perform any other duties as required by the company, manager, or school site.

• Completed 40 college credits or hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Prior tutoring experience; comfortable working with kids.
• Comfortable in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI/DOJ background check.
• Clear TB test.
