In addition to a high school diploma or equivalent, para educators must provide ONE of the following:
1) Transcripts showing two years of study at an institute of higher education equivalent to 48 semester units; or
2)

A. degree (or higher), or
3) California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST); or
4) Para educator Exam Certificate (demonstrating knowledge of, and the ability to, assist in the instruction of reading, writing and mathematics.) Please make sure all attachments are submitted with the application. An application without the attachments is considered incomplete and will be rejected.
