Instructional Aides at Aspen Public Schools provide support to teachers and students in a rigorous educational setting. They assist with a variety of functions, including implementing instructional programs, tutoring students in groups, and other tasks as needed by the classroom teacher. This is a 29-hour-per-week, part-time position. Instructional aides perform recess and lunch duty supervision for students. A positive, restorative, and growth mindset is imperative for the position.

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

• Ability to instruct reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to work well with children
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience:
  
  Background to include activities that involve students and an interest in working with school-age children.
• Experience working in an instructional environment.
• Experience or education in the areas of child development.
