The anticipated salary hiring range is $7,916 - $10,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, CalPERS membership, sick and vacation time, 15 paid holidays, and participation in the fee waiver education program.
Job SummaryReporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, the Director of Student Conduct manages university-wide conduct/judicial processes for individual students and student organizations, including Greek Life. The Director handles allegations under the Student Code of Conduct and Title V of the California Code of Regulations, recommending disciplinary sanctions, educational, and reconciliatory measures when appropriate. The role is highly confidential and requires collaboration with many campus offices, including Legal Counsel, Chancellor's Office, Police Department, Counseling Services, Disability Services, academic deans, and external stakeholders.
KeyQualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Perform research, compile data, and prepare and present reports or information with reliable conclusions and recommendations for actions
- Ability to manage multiple complex conduct issues and cases
- Ability to provide or reference resources and support to students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to provide effective leadership to advance department and university goals
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, mediation, and conflict‑resolution skills
- Master's degree in student personnel administration, higher education administration, or a related field
- Five years of professional experience in student conduct
