Field Engineer - Residential Energy

Our Client is looking to hire a Field Engineer - Residential Energy to work alongside their deployment teams. They sell a hard solution that interfaces with solar chargers and EVs. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in enabling installer channel sales by accelerating the scale up of their installer network by having technical training directly in the field, all over the US wherever installer customers may be located.

(primarily in the southwest USA)

• Provide on-customer premise training of new installers during onboarding
• Provide technical support during installer sales outreach
• Provide troubleshooting services as required
• Provide ad hoc technical support during demonstrations and in other partner channels as required

• Bachelors in Engineering from top tier university or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on field experience supporting selling and installing of new/innovative product in the residential and/or energy and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of US electrical code
• Working knowledge of power electronics
• Some knowledge of EV charging communication protocols (ISO 15118) and DER integration protocols (IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR) are a strong plus
• Working knowledge of IoT communication protocols
