Construction Inspector
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as Assistant Resident Engineer and/or Assistant Structures Representative for transportation infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in civil engineering or construction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of the work being performed, including reviewing materials, work quality, and adherence to design drawings.
- Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities.
- Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds the required quality standards, technical specifications, and industry regulations.
- Takes appropriate action when construction work does not conform to specifications and standards. Applies engineering judgement as allowed to resolve issues at the lowest level.
- Serve as the liaison between the project team and the field activities.
- Ensure the site follows all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Maintain daily logs, inspection records, and other documentation as required by the client and funding agencies.
- Provide detailed progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. - Certifications:
Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) is recommended; ACI Concrete Field‑Testing Technician certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.
- Logical use of engineering and analytical skills to solve construction issues at the lowest level.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Flexibility in thinking and behavior to adapt to changes in the project and work environment.
- Irreproachable ethics and integrity as part of standards of conduct.
- Highly motivated, able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, but also able to collaborate with our team.
- Development and maintenance of client and professional relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365—Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Hourly Rate: $120-180K Annually. Pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
