Overview
Dewberry is seeking a Transportation/Roadway Engineer in our Rancho Cordova or Fresno, CA offices. The successful candidate will work on all phases of transportation projects for a variety of public and private sector clients, including horizontal and vertical rail and road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations, and preparation of contract documents.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy, with strong design skills and client focus. The work requires diverse capabilities in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in Micro Station and Open Roads as applicable.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering design.
- Strong knowledge in roadway and highway design, grading, drainage, and utility relocation.
- Ability to coordinate with various disciplines to complete tasks and projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and familiarity with Micro Station/Open Roads.
- Ability to work efficiently to meet project schedules within budgets.
- Effective communication with project managers, coworkers, subconsultants, agency review staff, and utilities.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, memorandums, and other written communications.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

The projected range for this position is $90,000–$110,000 annually. The range may vary based on skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
