Senior Transportation Engineer
Under the general direction of the Supervising Transportation Engineer, the Senior Transportation Engineer serves as an Engineering Technical Lead with the High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority). The Senior Transportation Engineer is responsible for providing technical oversight for the Station and Facilities Unit to support design and construction of facilities such as train stations and maintenance facilities at the Authority, a complex railroad mega project.
The Senior Transportation Engineer ensures that all building systems and designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and State of California regulations including seismic safety, sustainability, and accessibility. Provides technical guidance and oversight throughout project design and construction phases. The Senior Transportation Engineer represents the Authority at various meetings, with contractors, consultants, and representatives from other federal, state, regional, and local agencies.
The Senior Transportation Engineer prepares correspondence between contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders, regarding technical engineering issues. This advertisement is posted as Open Until Filled and the advertisement will remain open until the vacancy is filled.
