Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Fresno, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This opportunity allows you to utilize your auditing expertise and contribute to meaningful financial oversight.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

- Analyze accounting entries and evaluate supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Gather and assess information from financial reporting systems and tax returns to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.

- Perform external audits to verify the organization's adherence to financial regulations.

- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to strengthen financial processes.

- Prepare detailed audit reports that highlight findings and provide actionable recommendations.

- Collaborate with management to address any audit concerns and implement corrective measures.

- Maintain comprehensive records of audit findings and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.

- Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

- Assist in the development and implementation of policies to enhance financial accountability.

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial auditing.

- Proven expertise in conducting financial audits and external audits.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems and accounting principles.

- Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify inconsistencies.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders.

- Proficiency in audit tools and software relevant to financial analysis.
