TheOpportunity
We are seeking a Finance Director to lead all finance, accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, and administrative activities for the company's U.S. operations based in Fresno, California.
Reporting directly to the local President and functionally to the Group CFO, this executive will play a key role in driving business performance, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across the organization.
The position also includes leadership of an established finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with executive leadership to improve profitability, cash flow, and overall business performance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis activities.
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPI reporting.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and corporate policies.
- Manage treasury activities, banking relationships, and working capital performance.
- Oversee accounting operations, accounts receivable, credit management, and collections.
- Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary finance contact for auditors.
- Lead tax compliance and planning activities in partnership with external advisors.
- Support the President on legal, administrative, and strategic business matters.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Finance, Controlling, FP&A, and Accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, financial controls, and reporting standards.
- Experience with in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proven background managing treasury functions, banking relationships, and tax advisors.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is highly preferred. - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, international, matrix organization.
- Experience supporting both manufacturing and distribution operations.
- Knowledge of agriculture, irrigation, or related industrial sectors.
- Spanish and/or Italian language skills are a plus.
