This position is part of an emergency response to the homelessness crisis, with the possibility of permanent employment after a successful assessment.

• Assist consumers and their families in navigating mental health services and resources.
• Facilitate access to housing, community, and departmental services.
• Support clients in developing independent living skills and participating in recovery dialogues.
• Act as an interpreter and recruit/train volunteer mentors.
• Attend trainings, conferences, and accompany clients to appointments.

• Option I:
  Six months of full-time paid or volunteer experience in mental health advocacy.
• Option II:
  Completion of a recognized peer, parent, or family advocate training program.

This is an emergency position initially hired for up to 90 days, with potential for permanent employment based on performance.
