Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Kitchen, the Waitstaff performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties, as well as other related tasks.

Salary Rate: $24.00 / Shift: varied 8 hour, a.m.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous hospital and food service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate well with co‑workers and guests.
• Ability to demonstrate clear oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work.
• Ability to follow simple recipes.
• Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge and ability to operate basic kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• PC competency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel).

• Assist dishwasher with cleaning and sanitizing dishes.
• Assist in orienting new employees to department.
• Assist in setting up, serving and breaking down catered events.
• Cleans freezers, refrigerators and storage areas.
• Delivers and serves food to patients, family and employees.
• Helps other kitchen personnel in the preparation and arrangement of meals.
• Helps with assigned cleaning and date/label duties.
• Sets up trays according to department guidelines.
• Stocks supplies.
• Takes all patient and guest food requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
