Job Title and Salary
CORRECTIONAL COUNSELOR II (SPECIALIST)
Salary: $9,609.00 – $12,699.00 per month. New‑to‑State candidates will be hired at the classification minimum or the alternate minimum, when applicable.
Job Type and Term12‑Month Limited Term – Full Time. The position may be extended to 24 months or become permanent.
Work LocationPleasant Valley State Prison, Fresno County.
Job DescriptionThe American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Collaboration and Training Team organizes and directs departmental actions in response to the Armstrong vs. Brown and Clark vs. Brown class action litigation. The unit assists the field with matters related to the Department’s Disability Placement Program and Developmental Disability Program, including training, policy development, and responses to inquiries and requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
CDCR Headquarters has implemented the Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) to streamline hiring. Candidates set up an HRTS account, receive real‑time application updates, schedule interviews, and submit required documents. After the final filing date, applicants receive an email with account instructions.
