Lead, IT​/Tech, Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Lead for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA (Remote). Candidate must have the ability to lead the design and implementation of modern data engineering solutions across cloud and on‑prem platforms.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $68/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines, integration services, and cloud/on‑prem data models.
• Oversee development activities using modern data stacks, including ETL/ELT, APIs, and streaming frameworks.
• Collaborate with architecture, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.
• Ensure strong data quality, governance adherence, and performance optimization across platforms.
• Guide and mentor technical teams while enforcing engineering best practices.
• Drive end‑to‑end technical delivery supporting enterprise data transformation initiatives.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of overall experience as indicated in the JD.
• Strong proficiency with Azure Data Services such as ADF, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Proven ability to lead data engineering initiatives, ensuring governance, security, and high‑quality delivery.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $68.00 per hour
