Job Title

Epic Senior Application Developer (ALL MODULES)

Client is seeking experienced Epic Senior/Application Developers to provide technical leadership and support for the development, configuration, and ongoing maintenance within the Epic system. Core job duties include:

• Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to identify critical functional requirements for new or revised clinical applications.
• Recommend technical design and procedures for new or revised applications.
• Configure and customize applications.
• Review and analyze system problems to identify solutions and/or make appropriate referrals.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans associated with system development, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain documentation to ensure recovery capability, as well as satisfactory and stable performance of the platform(s) and all applications and processes.
• Travel to customer sites for sustained periods of time to support application implementation, upgrade, and/or optimization.

• Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance healthcare workflow processes.
• Typically 5-7 years for Senior Developer in leadership roles including experience with programming tools and a comprehensive understanding of database technologies.
• Experience contributing to the support, configuration and development of at least one Epic specific healthcare enterprise application.
• Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to analyze system and integration requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff; and demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with modules specific workflows.
• Epic certification(s) required in modules applying for; preference for multiple certifications with proven implementation experience.
• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects.
• Experience supporting Epic in a Critical Access Hospital or Rural Health Clinic setting.
• Proven ability to write application test scripts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience.

• Must be willing to travel to mid-west on a regular basis as needed throughout the implementation and delivery of training.
