Cable Technician at Robert Half Fresno, CA

We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Cable Technician in Fresno, California. In this role, you will provide IT support to a variety of client sites, predominantly major retail firms, traveling and working onsite within a 1‑hour driving radius.

• Ensure optimal functionality of routers and switches.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues related to MDF/IDF, VOIP, or cabling.
• Manage the installation, troubleshooting, escalation, or maintenance of hardware or software issues.
• Handle surveillance and security systems, including cameras and access control setups.
• Respond to tickets through a ticketing system and provide onsite response when required.
• Document the triage process and organize project planning for future work.
• Leverage knowledge of access control, broadband, Cisco technologies, data networks, Apple devices, and cable television for effective problem‑solving.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional customer‑facing experience and technical support.

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Cable Technician or similar role.
• Demonstrable proficiency in Access Control.
• Hands‑on experience with Broadband.
• Proficiency in utilizing Cisco Technologies.
• Solid understanding of Data Networks.
• Experience with Apple Devices is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in Cable Installation.
• Expertise in Cable Television.
