Director of Supply Chain

Description

Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize procurement, logistics, inventory management, and trucking operations at our Client's manufacturing facilities. Based in Fresno, California, this role is pivotal in aligning supply chain strategies with company growth objectives, operational budgets, and production demands. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision and commercial expertise to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other inputs essential for fertilizer production across multiple facilities.

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to enhance reliability and achieve cost savings.

- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to company standards and delivery schedules.

- Establish and enforce ethical and sustainable procurement practices aligned with organic certification requirements.

- Collaborate with leadership to translate company goals into actionable supply chain strategies.

- Monitor and control supply chain budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

- Ensure all supply chain decisions are data-driven and contribute to operational efficiency and profitability.

- Supervise logistics and trucking operations to maintain timely material flow and distribution.

- Drive supplier performance improvements to ensure quality and consistency in material supply.

- Analyze supply chain operations to identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics leadership roles.

- Strong expertise in procurement, inventory control, and supplier management.

- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.

- Familiarity with global supply chain practices and logistics operations.

- Knowledge of organic certification requirements and sustainable procurement methods.

- Proficient in data analysis and decision-making to optimize supply chain processes.

- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments.
