Job Description And Duties Under the direction of the Case Adjudication Bureau Chief, the DESA I (Team Manager) plans, organizes and directs the activities & workload of a team comprised of Disability Evaluation Analysts, Medical Consultants and Support Staff, engaged in the adjudication of Social Security & SSI disability claims. Cases are of a highly complex nature and require a working understanding of the disability program's policies & regulations.

The Team Manager coordinates the quantity & quality of the team's work, determines staff development & training requirements, as well as coaches the team toward high involvement & success. The Team Manager participates in recruiting & hiring staff, assists with establishing goals, policies and priorities as a member of the Branch Management Team.
