Plant Lead

Producers Dairy Foods, a Third-Generation Family-Owned Dairy Processor, is seeking a talented Plant Lead for our Fresno, CA location. The Plant Lead Person is responsible for supervising the operations of the Plant when required and working closely with Plant supervision The Plant Lead will be responsible for demonstrating our Producers Dairy Core Values and carrying out our purpose of Nourishing Lives.

  • Productivity standards monitored by KOI’s
  • Load-out effectiveness/efficiency as measured by the KOI

• Works with all departments to ensure the Plant and Blow Mold areas operate effectively and meet company productivity and cost targets
• Manages loading errors over’s and shorts to zero. Ensures load-out errors overages-shortages) are non-existent
• Maintains housekeeping in all areas of responsibility at all times
• Maintains accurate paperwork as well as paper trail to assure easy back-tracking of vault and plant issues
• Works closely with Plant Supervisor and Plant Manager to ensure a smooth flow of operations
• Works closely with Maintenance and the Plant Manager to ensure equipment is in excellent state of repair and that efficiencies are continually enhanced
• Leads employees to maintain an effective safety program
• Investigates accidents, injuries, and near accidents, maintains a safe and safety motivated work environment
• Knows, understands, adheres, and enforces all company policies, GMPs and procedures
• Promotes and maintains company Teamwork in all areas. Assists others and performs other tasks as appropriate and or necessary. Helps the positive image of the company in the trade
• Adheres to all applicable Federal, State, County, and local regulations as they relate to the processing, packaging, sale and merchandising of milk and dairy products
• Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance standards
• Other duties as assigned

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

• MUST be available to work any shift or as needed due to business needs.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a food/dairy manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated skills in leading team members.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships and influence others.
• Ability to learn quickly and continuously.
