- Supervise Ink Technicians and Graphic Technical Coordinator in all ink support activities.
- Be on-call 24 hours to address quality problems, which may include multi-plant responsibilities.
- Perform on-site customer service and sales backup.
- Coordinate customer orders and ink inventory to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient product flow.
- Initiate and participate in customer problem solving and productivity programs and projects.
- Manage the ink blending process within the Flint TPS Ink Management process, including coordinating scheduling of ink deliveries and inventories.
- Identify, set, and review quality standards for customers, and coordinate efforts with key customer personnel during qualification trials.
- Conduct color matching and maintain customer formulation files.
- Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials, ensuring appropriate record-keeping functions.
- Establish and monitor appropriate housekeeping and safety procedures within customer locations.
- Act as a liaison between the company and the customer regarding trials and product development needs.
- Participate with the company’s technical and information systems groups to provide support for the customer’s VOC compliance programs.
- Maintain compliance schedules, monitor systems, and generate necessary reports.
- Perform all personnel supervisory functions, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and recommendations for promotions, demotions, and other disciplinary actions.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in supervising and managing staff in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience managing or coordinating ink blending processes
- Experience in coordinating logistics for product delivery and inventory management.
- Experience working with customer formulation files and managing record-keeping for ink production.
- Familiarity with quality management systems related to ink production.
- Understanding of safety procedures related to ink production and handling.
- Experience in collaborating with technical and information systems groups.
- Ability to maintain compliance schedules and generate reports effectively.
- Strong personnel management skills, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
