Job Shift: 1st (Day) Shift

• Operate gluing machines safely and efficiently to produce excellent quality products for customers.
• Direct the work of team members to maximize productivity.
• Conduct line clearance, weigh waste, document waste and cases on job ticket after job completion.
• Prepare jobs for gluing including line clearance, locating job ticket, completing make‑ready, and in‑process adjustments on glue machines.
• Sign off on jobs, perform first article inspections, and continue checks throughout the run.
• Operate various glue machines, glue extrusion units, and case packing machines.
• Reduce carton waste and rework while producing quality cartons.
• Read and understand the order job ticket before make‑ready or for a job already running.
• Feed, pack, and catch cartons when needed.
• Check carton quality, batch count, and case pack regularly.
• Complete job order and check final production count against order.
• Ensure feeders, catchers, and packers complete their assigned duties effectively.
• Assist case stacker with setting up and labeling cases.
• Perform operator‑level machine repairs and maintenance when needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance and the appropriate documentation as required.
• Clean machines and sweep floors.
• Conduct carton rework or salvage if necessary.
• Weigh waste and document waste and cases on job ticket once run is complete.
• Make partial pallet if needed.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to all safety rules.
• Provide daily feedback to supervision regarding all aspects of shift activities.

• Achieve targeted performance standards on make‑ready, run, non‑chargeable times and waste.
• Follow direction of Shift Supervisor.

• Three or more years of experience as a gluer/finishing operator in a manufacturing folding carton plant.
• Experience setting up and operating gluing machines, producing side seam, auto bottom, reverse fold, window cartons on various substrates, coatings and laminates such as foil, UV, and aqueous coatings.
• Experience setting up and operating glue extrusion units, case packers and performing operator‑level maintenance.
• High school diploma required.
• 3–5+ years of industry‑specific experience.

This is a Non‑Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $30.00 per hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
